The first official trailer of Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy starrer Made in China has been released. The film marks the Bollywood debut of the National Award-winning Gujarati film director Mikhil Musale, who is well known for Wrong Side Raju.
The central plot of Made in China revolves around aspiring entrepreneur Raghu, and his journey to becoming a millionaire from a simple Nepali handicraft dealer. Rajkummar Rao appears to be in his usual elements in the trailer as he heads for China. After getting his hands on Viagra, he then enters into a business partnership with a sexologist in India. The film is loosely is based on the character of Raghu Mehta, an Ahmedabad-based entrepreneur.
The makers have aptly summed up the synopsis as, “What happens when you’re down and out, middle-aged and life gives you another chance to get it right? You go to China and bring back the ultimate Jugaad!” The ensemble of the veteran comedians Paresh Rawal and Boman Irani has already created hype among the fans.
Made in China went on the shooting floor last year with a tight schedule and is all set to hit the theaters this Diwali, clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4. Actor Rajkummar Rao had put on eight kilos of extra weight to play the unusual and comic character of a Gujarati businessman for the film, while Mouni Roy plays the role of a typical Mumbai girl who moves to Gujarat after her marriage. The film also features Gajraj Rao and Sumit Vyas, among the talented star cast.
