After depicting the ordeal of a Muslim family trying to reclaim their honor in Mulk, Taapsee Pannu and director Anubhav Sinha is back with another hard-hitting tale in Thappad. After unveiling the first look poster of her sports drama Rashmi Rocket and crime thriller Haseen Dilruba, Taapsee stirred up a storm on the internet as soon as she unveiled the first look of her upcoming film Thappad followed by the hard-hitting trailer where she rebukes domestic violence.
The trailer of ‘Thappad’ also focuses on the society stereotypes like the ladies should learn to tolerate the sufferings and how she will be tagged as a divorcee. Director Anubhav Sinha is set to narrate a simple family story wherein a ‘slap’ changes everything, the leading lady finally acknowledges that she doesn’t love her husband and also realizes that her domestic help is suffering violence from her husband.

The film is set to hit the screens on February 28.
