Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar are good to go up for their forthcoming flick Saand Ki Aankh based on the days of aged sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar. The duo has been learning air pistol shooting as a piece of their training to play the octogenarian shooters. It is scheduled to hit the silver screens on October 25, coinciding with the Diwali festival. It is helmed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar.
Bhumi will be playing the role of Chandro Tomar and has drawn her motivation from the movie to such an extent that the actress has chosen to go on with the air pistol shooting as a sport for an eternity. In the wake of having been related with the sport for almost a month, Bhumi feels that air pistol shooting gives her satisfaction. She sees the brief moment before pulling the trigger as a type of meditation and feels a sense of achievement when the bullet hits the bullseye.
She adds, "For me, it's like running or playing badminton. I enjoy them just as much because they keep me healthy and happy. When you hit the gym, you mind is relaxed while your body sweats it out. However, when you take up a sport, you have to focus on your game and your opponent's moves; it keeps you on your toes. These lessons can come in handy at any time in your life."
