Actress Zaira Wasim quitting Bollywood came as a major shocker to Bollywood
While many considered it as a loss of Bollywood, director Nitesh Tiwari feels it is his personal loss as she debuted with his film. Speaking about her decision, he exclusively told ETimes, “I’ve said it before also and will say again. I felt a sense a loss when I heard about her. I believe that she’s a terrific performer and it’s pretty evident in ‘Dangal’ and ‘Secret Superstar’. Also, I felt a little more than what others felt because it is not just a loss of talent for the industry, it is a loss for me as she debuted with my film.”
Elaborating further on the same, he added, “In the end, all of us have to be mature enough to realise that everybody has the right to choose his or her life, the way he or she wants to live. And just the way you would not want anybody to question you for your life choices, you should not question her for her life choices. It’s her life and she has every right over it. I hope she finds what she is seeking and I wish her always best of luck for everything she does in her life.”
For the uninitiated, Zaira Wasim took to her Instagram handle to share a heartfelt post for her fans where she announced that she is quitting her career in the Indian film industry as her Bollywood career is interfering with her faiths and religion.
Meanwhile, on the work front, while Zaira will next be seen in Shonali Bose’s, ‘The Sky Is Pink’ which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles, Nitesh Tiwari is all set with his upcoming film, ‘Chhichhore’ which stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles.
