Shahid Kapoor clears the air surrounding his fess hike to Rs 40 crore post the success of 'Kabir Singh'

Shahid Kapoor is currently basking in the success of his recently released 'Kabir Singh' that has turned out to be the most successful film of the year.
Recent reports suggested that post the success of 'Kabir Singh', ShahidKapoor has hiked his fees to Rs 40 crore per film. The actor will be nextworking on the Hindi remake of Telugu hit 'Jersey' starring Nani andShraddha Srinath. Filmmaker Karan Johar has acquired the remake rightsand if reports are to be true that might be half the budget of the entiremovie.In a recent interview, Shahid Kapoor opened up about the rumours of hischarging Rs 40 crores as fees post the success of 'Kabir Singh'. The actor saidthat he still has to sign a film to receive money. Shahid said he has exactlythe same bank balance as he had before 'Kabir Singh', and he has to signanother project to get paid. The actor also added that he thinks the onlypeople who are making money are Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani.Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, 'Kabir Singh' is the Bollywood remake ofhis 2017 Telegu film 'Arjun Reddy'. Shahid Kapoor essays the characterplayed by Vijay Deverakonda in the regional hit. The film also stars ArjanBajwa as Kabir Singh's brother, Suresh Oberoi, Kamini Kaushal, Adil Hussainand Nikita Dutta. The film hit the screens on June 21.
