Shahid Kapoor’s film, 'Kabir Singh', is being counted among the most successful films of the year so far.
When Shahid was asked about essaying a role, which had shades of grey, the Bollywood actor said that he has never been afraid of taking on parts that are dark like Kabir Singh or Tommy Singh of 'Udta Punjab'. In a recent interview, Shahid cited the example of the film 'Sanju'. He pointed out a scene where Ranbir, who played Sanjay Dutt’s part, boasts of having slept with over 300 women in front of his wife. The actor felt that people didn’t pick on that film the way they went after 'Kabir Singh'. He went on to add that he thoroughly enjoyed 'Sanju' because he saw the film to see the journey of the character. Shahid feels that the love people have showered on 'Kabir Singh' has made him realise that people watch a movie for what it is.
