Working exes: Deepika Padukone says yes to Luv Ranjan’s next starring Ranbir Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor will not replace Deepika Padukone

Over the past few months, Deepika Padukone has been making headlines about her involvement in Luv Ranjan’s upcoming flick starring Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgan. Although the reports said that the Padmaavat actress had signed the alleged project at the earlier half of the year and started the discussion sessions about script, the fans were taken aback due to her involvement in the project.

Deepika faced severe backlash in Twitter, with the trending phase #NotMyDeepika, where several fans requested the 33-year-old actress to decline the project, since director Luv Ranjan was accused of sexual misconduct during the #MeToo movement. Following the incident, some of the media reports also speculated that Shraddha Kapoor has replaced the Lovely girl in the film.

However, as per the recent reports, Deepika Padukone has crushed all the rumors by confirming her role in the Luv Ranjan film, which will be her fourth film with ex-boyfriend Ranvir Kapoor after Bachna Ae Haseeno, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Tamasha. The actress further revealed that they have been meeting up frequently to discuss the project, and it is all set to go on the floors next year, after Ranvir Kapoor wraps up the shooting of Brahmastra and Shamshera. However, the official announcement of the film is still due from the makers.

Meanwhile, Deepika has just finished shooting for Kabir Khan’s 83, opposite husband Ranveer Singh. The actress will also star in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapak, sharing screen with Vikrant Massey.
