Shahid Kapoor confirms Hindi remake of Telegu hit Jersey

The film will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri

Actor Shahid Kapoor who is currently enjoying a steady success at the Box office, with his latest release, Kabir Singh has confirmed to star in the Hindi version of the Telegu superhit film, Jersey. The film will be helmed by director Gowtam Tinnanuri, who has also directed the original Telegu film, which starred Nani.

 

The plot of the original film revolves around protagonist, Arjun and his struggles to make a successful career in the Indian cricket. After a failed career as a cricketer, Arjun returns to cricket again, at the age of 36 and ultimately becomes successful. As he represents the Indian cricket team, he eventually fulfills his son’s wish of getting an Indian jersey as a present. The Hindi version of Jersey will be produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, and Dil Raju.

 

The film is slated to hit the screens on August, 28 2020.
