Mahira Khan writes an open letter after a Pakistani actor calls her an aged actor who should play a mother's role and not of a heroine

Raees' actress Mahira Khan who is a well-known face in Pakistan has penned down an open letter after a Pak actor Firdaus Jamal called her an aged actress who should essay only a mother’s role on screen.

Many have hailed Mahira's reply and expressed their take on social media.Her 'Superstar' co-star Ashraf Bilal wrote, “Nailed it @mahirahkhan super proud of u my Superstar :)”

Mawra Hocane too tweeted in her support. “Taking a dig at the biggest name of your country makes you as small as it gets. Disrespectful remarks in the garb of opinions need to STOP. Hope the two mins of fame were worth it. Mahira works extremely hard to be where she is. It’s not easy. So Proud of you my M”, she mentioned.

While talking about Mahira on a Pakistani chat show, Firdaus said, “Ek toh uski age zyaada hai. Is age mein heroinein nahi hoti, maa ki kirdaar kiye jaate hain (She has become old now and one doesn’t play a role of a heroine at this age but essays a mother’s role).”
