Kesari star Akshay Kumar pens tribute to the 21 martyrs of the battle against Pashtuns on Saragarhi Day.

On Saragarhi Day, Akshay Kumar took to his social media handle and penned down a touching note dedicating to the 21 Sikh soldiers who died fighting bravely in the battle against the Afghans.

Every September 12, the Saragarhi Day is remembered in the memory of the most valiant martyrs ever. On this day, Akshay took to instagram and paid a tribute to the soldiers who passed away battling valiantly. Akshay also shared a photograph from his film of the 21 actors including him who played the 21 Sikhs in Kesari. The entertainer paid a passionate and ardent tribute to the martyrs.

Akshay captioned, “My tributes to the bravehearts of the 36th Sikh Regiment, 21 Against 10,000...a sacrifice which will forever be etched in the pages of history and our hearts #SaragarhiDay.” The film performed great on the box office with an estimated collection over ₹204.82 crore. The movie was appreciated by the audience as well as by the Sikh community all over the world. Anurag Singh directed it, and Karan Johar produced it.
