Dream Girl Becomes Ayushman Khurrana’s Biggest Opener

The film minted 10.4 crores on the opening day

The intriguing trailer and the constant buzz paved the way for Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dreamgirl to becoming one of his biggest openers till now. Indeed a happy birthday for the 35-year-old actor!

Director Raaj Shandilya’s Dreamgirl has been receiving positive reviews, and loud applause during the screening and the positive raves have resulted in a double-digit opening for the film. Ever since the trailer of the film has been released, the audiences were desperately waiting to watch Ayushmann Khurrana in his quirky avatar.

After the Friday release, the Badhai Ho actor has beaten his own record with his highest opener till date, which has also surpassed all the other mid-range films of 2019, including Uri (₹ 8.20 cr), LukaChuppi (₹ 8.01 cr) and Chhichhore (₹ 7.32 cr).

Dreamgirl is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. The film is likely to perform even better during the weekends, as per the trade analysts.
