After the 2020 Oscar nomination, the Gully Boy director, Zoya Akhtar is prepping up for a gangster drama with Ranveer Singh. As per the current reports, the ‘first idea’ of the film has already been accepted by the Simmba actor, who has also shared his verbal agreement and keenness to work on the project. However, the shooting dates are yet to be finalised.

The report says, "Zoya has offered the gangster flick to her favourite Ranveer Singh already. He has heard the concept and is really keen on doing it as well. He has verbally given his nod and this will be his third film with Zoya after Dil Dhadakne Do and Gully Boy."

On the work front, Ranveer Singh is currently busy with Kabir Khan's 83 and Jayeshbhai Jordaar with the Yash Raj Films, before he joins Karan Johar’s Takht team from January 2020.
